Over 600 million children and adolescents worldwide are unable to attain minimum proficiency levels in reading and mathematics, even though two thirds of them are in school. For out-of-school children, foundational skills in literacy and numeracy are further from grasp.

The Link Between Expenditure And Outcomes

Primitive people in some cultures regard the body of knowledge constituting the initiation curriculum as most essential to their tribal membership. Within this essential curriculum, religious instruction takes the most prominent place. A primitive person, whose culture is the totality of his universe, has a relatively fixed sense of cultural continuity and timelessness.

Education is a form of learning in which the knowledge, skills and habits of group of people are transferred from one generation to the next generation through teaching, training, or research. A knowledge society can be build by making the education process more effective which in turn provide foundations for socio-economic development of the country. Hence, the role of education has become centric to develop knowledge economy since literate and skilled citizen play a pivotal role in the development/prosperity of the country.

The conclusion from these ‘twin studies’ is that the average estimates suggested by the figure, are not very different to those that would be obtained from more sophisticated models that control for ability. Like all children, children with disabilities have ambitions and dreams for their futures. Like all children, they need quality education to develop their skills and realize their full potential. Yet, children with disabilities are often overlooked in policymaking, limiting their access to education and learning.
